Bus interchanges at Darwin, Casuarina and Palmerston

The following bus timetable applies in Darwin over the Christmas and New Year holidays.

Christmas Day – no bus service.

Boxing Day – public holiday Sunday bus timetable.

New Year's Eve - Sunday timetable and additional free services from 7pm to 7am.

New Year’s Day – public holiday Sunday bus timetable.

Bus Interchange offices will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.

Bus tickets and Tap & Ride cards can be purchased or recharged on the bus using cash only.

Territory Business Centres

Centres will be closed Monday, 25 December 2017 and reopen on Tuesday, 2 January 2018.

Emergencies and disasters - SecureNT

SecureNTSecureNT is the gateway to information for preparing and getting through emergencies in the Northern Territory.

SAFE NT

The office will be closed from Monday, 18 December 2017 and reopen Tuesday, 2 January 2018. National Police Check and Ochre Card applications can be lodged online 24/7 www.pfes.nt.gov.au or email safent.police@nt.gov.au for assistance.

Environment

Department of Environment and Natural Resources

The office will be closed from Monday 25 December 2017 and reopen on Tuesday 2 January 2018.

Hospitals and health clinics

Alice Springs Hospital Outpatient Department

The Hospital Outpatient Department will be operating with reduced clinics from 18 December 2017 to 8 January 2018.

Tennant Creek General Practice

The practice will be closed on Saturday, 23 December 2017, reopening on Monday, 8 January 2018.  In case of an emergency please go to the Tennant Creek Hospital Emergency Department or call 8962 4399.

Interpreting and translating services

Aboriginal Interpreter Service

A 24 hour/7 day a week service will be available during this period. Call 1800 334 944 to book an interpreter.

Interpreting and Translating Service NT (ITSNT)

Will be open from 8.30am to 4pm from Wednesday, 27 December to Friday, 29 December 2017.

Lands, building and development

Lands and Planning front counters

Public counters will be closed from Monday, 25 December 2017, reopening on Tuesday, 2 January 2018.

Marine Safety

The office will be closed from Monday, 25 December 2017, reopening on Tuesday, 2 January 2018.

Regional Harbourmaster

Services will remain available throughout, although there may be minor delays.

Motor vehicle registrations and licences

Motor Vehicle Registry (MVR)

All MVR offices, including test sheds, Katherine and Alice Springs Weighbridge and Oversize, Overmass Permits office will close from Saturday, 23 December 2017 and reopen on Tuesday, 2 January 2018.
