Work health and safety in mining
Mining occupational health and safety in the Northern Territory (NT) is administered by NT Worksafe.

Report a mining incident
You must report a workplace incident if it:
- results in the death of a person
- causes serious injury or illness or
- is classified as a dangerous incident.
You must immediately contact NT WorkSafe as soon as an incident occurs, using the fastest possible method.
You can either:
- call 1800 019 115
- get the incident notification form from the NT Worksafe website and fax it to 08 999 5141 or email it to ntworksafe@nt.gov.au.

If there is an operational or environmental incident arising from a regulated activity for mining, you must inform the department using the emergency contact details.
