Greyhound racing

Introduction

The greyhound racing industry in the Northern Territory (NT) is regulated by Licensing NT, on behalf of the NT Racing Commission.

They follow the Greyhound Racing Rules 1981 and the Greyhounds Australasia's racing rules, to:

  • control, supervise and regulate greyhound racing
  • develop policies and standards to protect:
    • animal welfare
    • the integrity of greyhound racing.
