NT WorkSafe Electrical Safety, on behalf of the Electricity Safety Regulator, monitors and regulates electrical safety and technical standards throughout the Northern Territory.

NT WorkSafe Electrical Safety administers the Electricity Reform Act and Electricity Reform (Safety & Technical) Regulations to establish and maintain safe practices relating to the use of electricity, the technical and safety standards for electrical installations and the safety and energy efficiency standards for appliances and equipment.

NT WorkSafe Electrical Safety also assists the Electrical Worker's and Contractors Licensing Board (EWCLB) with the administration of the Electrical Workers & Contractors Act, provides advice and assistance to licensed electrical workers and contractors and monitors the standard of electrical work they carry out.

NT WorkSafe Electrical Safety also assists and advises organisations and members of the public in regard to electrical safety within business premises or in the home and investigates serious electrical accidents and fires suspected of being electrical in origin.
