1. Dolomite Walk

This walk is a great way to take in the fascinating geological processes of the Ellery Creek area. The Ellery area is famous throughout the world for geologists and many studies have taken place in the area. The tilting of the different geological rockbeds and the consequential eroding of the rock has exposed the history of the area. The walk is along a marked, unsealed path with some steady inclines and loops away from Section 7 of the Larapinta Trail. Be careful that you do not mistakenly continue along the Larapinta Trail that extends westwards.

The walk is a good opportunity to escape into the bush for a little over an hour or so. The plants along the trail are quite unique and there's always the chance of coming across unusual birdlife or reptiles.

Remember to wear a shady hat, sunscreen and suitable clothing and footwear.
