1. Swimming at Redbank Gorge

The near permanent waterhole at Redbank Gorge is situated about 1km from the car park.  Swimmers should be aware that most waterholes inside the chasm are extremely cold as the sun will rarely penetrate to the water.  It is recommended that swimmers use a flotation device to assist them in swimming through the Gorge. Care must also be taken over the slippery rocks in the gorge. A variety of wildlife occasionally find their way into the gorge so care must be taken when swimming.
