Walking at Simpsons Gap
1. Ghost Gum Walk
This Ghost Gum Walk takes about 15 - 20 minutes and winds down to the edge of Roe Creek. Starting at the Visitor Centre, this walk illustrates the native plants of the area including an ancient huge Ghost Gum. Scattered information signs throughout the walk will give you an insight into some of the interesting flora stories of the Centre.
The Perentie, a goanna, that's Australia's largest lizard at over 2m is often seen along this path. Keep you eyes peeled for a range of bird life including many of the Centre's honeyeaters feeding of the flowers trees and shrubs along the walking track.
Be sure to check out the additional information about the Park in the shaded Visitor Centre at the start of the walk.
