The Northern Territory has adopted an occupational health and safety approach to the management of fatigue under the NT Work Health Act.

Code of Practice

The NT Road Transport Fatigue Management Code of Practice was jointly developed by:

  • Department of Planning and Infrastructure
  • Department of Employment, Education and Training - NT WorkSafe
  • the Australian Trucking Association NT (ATANT)

The NT Road Transport Fatigue Management Code of Practice was gazetted in 1998.
