The Department of Planning and Infrastructure (DPI) in cooperation with Alice Springs Town Council (ASTC) has conducting a strategic review of the cycle path network in the Alice Springs Township.

The objectives of the review were to:

• Undertake an audit of the existing cycle path networks controlled by DPI and Council
• Map the network using GIS
• Identify maintenance and capital works requirements
• Plan further development of the cycle path network

Please Note: Footpaths are not included in this study.

The public and key user groups were encouraged to submit comments on the existing cycle path network and future path development needs.

 

The closing date for submissions on the Alice Springs Cyclepath Review closed on the 4 September 2009.
