Grab the Opportunity - Catch a free bus to the AFL in Alice Springs

Free buses are being provided for the AFL NAB Cup Match being held at Traeger Park Oval in Alice Springs, Friday 29 February 2008. Buses will depart at 5.30pm and 6.15pm from Madigan Street, the Old Timers Retirement Village and Living Waters School (Kramer Street), picking up passengers at all bus stops along each route including Barrett Drive.

To get you home, buses will travel back along these routes, departing Traeger Park Oval 20 minutes after the game siren.

Free Bus to the AFL NAB Cup Western Bulldogs Vs North Melbourne Game

Free buses are being provided for the public to attend the Western Bulldogs v’s North Melbourne match on 15 February 2008. Buses will run from 5 pm to 7 pm (at half-hour intervals) from the following bus interchanges: Casuarina, Darwin and Palmerston. Buses will depart at the end of the match from 9.40 pm and will pick up passengers at all bus stops along each route.

Seat Belts on School Buses

1 February 2007

From the beginning of the 2008 school year the new school buses will operate in the Darwin rural area and one bus which services Pine Creek to Katherine.

The seat belt-equipped buses are being introduced on some higher risk rural area school bus routes. These are routes that involve travelling longer distances at high speed.

Seat belts will provide students travelling on buses with the same seat belt safety benefits of those travelling in other vehicles.
