If you are unable to attend a Motor Vehicle Registry, you may renew your licence and registration by mail, together with the relevant fees and documentation to.

Requirements for a licence renewal:

• Surrender your NT drivers licence;
• Provide two colour passport photographs verified on the reverse side as being a true likeness of yourself;
• An eyesight test from an Optometrist or General Practitioner if required; and
• Proof of residency (if necessary)

If renewing a National Heavy Vehicle Driver licence, you must surrender your licence as proof of identification, or provide a birth certificate or passport.

Requirements for a registration renewal by mail:

• application or letter requesting renewal (if interstate, proof of residency may be required.)
• original inspection report if required.
