Driver Training and Licensing

Information for Instructors

All DTAL practical and theory instructors must be registered with the DTAL Program. Registered DTAL instructors are bound by the Condition of Registration for DTAL Instructors and the Code of Practice for Driving Instructors in the Northern Territory.

Potential Instructors are required to submit their application for registration, together with the required documentation, to the DTAL Program Manager for processing.

Continued registration as a DTAL Instructor remains at the total discretion of the Department of Planning and Infrastructure.
