About DTAL

Eligibility

Students do not have to be attending a school to access DTAL, the Northern Territory DTAL Program is available to 16 to 18 year olds (that is 16th birthday to 19th birthday), who are permanent residents of the Northern Territory, or have lived in the NT for at least three months immediately prior to commencing the training.

Only those who are eligible to hold an NT Learner Licence, as issued by MVR, and who have not attempted DTAL previously, are permitted to access the DTAL Program.
