Priority Housing

Territory Housing generally offers housing to applicants on 'first in with their application, first housed' basis. Applicants are placed in a queue called the 'waiting list'. However, housing may be offered 'out of turn' to people who are homeless, at risk of becoming homeless, have serious medical or social issues including financial problems, family violence, sexual assault or a disability.

Territory Housing provides long-term solutions to housing needs. If an applicant is in need of crisis/emergency accommodation on a short-term basis, Territory Housing can refer them to other organisations that may be able to assist.

To apply for priority housing, complete the Priority Housing Application form and deliver to your local Territory Housing office.
For further information read the Priority Housing Fact Sheet.
