Other Home Incentive Schemes


The Northern Territory Government also provides the following home owner incentive schemes which are administered by Territory Revenue Management (TRM) a division of Northern Territory Treasury.

The First Home Owner Grant scheme provides Territorians purchasing a home, or land to construct a new home, that is their first home in Australia, a grant of up to $7 000.

The First Home Owner Concession scheme provides Territorians purchasing a home, or land to construct a new home, on or after 6 May 2008, that is their first home in Australia, a concession of up to $15 515.50 off the duty payable. This represents the duty on the first $385 000 of the purchase price off the property.

The Principal Place of Residence Rebate scheme provides Territorians purchasing a home, or land to construct a new home, on or after 20 June 2005 that is not their first home in Australia, a concession of up to $2 500 off the duty payable.
