Building and Maintenance

The Asset Services Branch of Territory Housing provides support to the Regional Offices who manage the Repairs and Maintenance Program which enables public and other Government housing assets to be maintained to the appropriate standards to service the needs of our tenants. This is achieved by the development of works programs, management of contracted services and maintenance practices, ensuring technical standards are achieved.

Asset Services also maintain and control the housing asset register in respect of public and government employee housing. The purpose is to ensure an accurate, valid and reliable record of the assets.

Asset Services commissioned the Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Environment and managed the successful development of a condition based assessment and amenity data base. HOMES is web based and is utilised to accurately determine the portfolio's amenities and maintenance liabilities. It assists in forward planning to determine that the portfolio is suitable to service client's housing needs and achieve optimum performance from the assets.
