Noise mitigation works at the Alice Springs Ron Goodin Power Station

Following the installation of a new gas Titan generator at the Ron Goodin Power Station in Alice Springs in 2005 to meet rising electricity demands, some residents in nearby suburbs complained of increased noise from the power station.

Power and Water has since worked with international sound monitoring experts, Hayes MacKenzie and the Titan's manufacturers to determine an engineering solution to mitigate these noise emissions.

The updates below provide progress reports on these noise mitigation works.
