Winter Water Wise Gardens

Now that Top Enders are well into the dry and new plants are being established in gardens in Central Australia at this time of the year, gardeners are encouraged to check how their garden is going and to monitor their watering needs.

In association with the Nursery and Garden Industry NT, Power and Water have developed some helpful tips on how to water more effectively and efficiently.  Did you know that in the Top End we have ‘skeletal’ soil that requires less water more frequently? or that in the arid Centre natives do much better than imported species?

Don't forget we also have two great publications with lots more information - How to create a water wise garden in Central Australia and How to create a water wise garden in the Top End.
