Localities and suburbs are offical bounded areas used in the address of a property.

Localities are defined over pastoral and rural living areas whilst suburbs are defined over the Alice Springs, Katherine, Palmerston and Darwin municipalities. Boundaries have also been defined around the larger Aboriginal communities and towns.
