Territory Support Division

The mission of the Territory Support Division is to provide general and specialist support to other units of the Northern Territory Police and other organisations on its behalf.  The unit was formed in 1978 as part of a national framework of similar units based in capital cities throughout Australia.

The group has a number of internal sections, with specialist training provided for specific tasks.

In addition there are a number of roles that the group is required to train for and members are tasked with the maintenance of a capability in these areas. Eventually members cross train in several sections and roles.
