Firearms Policy and Records Unit
Introduction
The issue of a firearm registration or licence is controlled by
the legislation as defined in the Firearms
Act and Regulations (1997). The
powers of the Commissioner are in the main, delegated to the staff
of the Firearms Policy and Records Unit, which is located at the
Peter McAulay Centre in Darwin. All matters that require further
explanation or interpretation to questions raised on this site
