Preparing for a cyclone
The Top End of the Northern Territory is naturally prone to Tropical Cyclone events with some two to three cyclones affecting the region between November and April each year.

Emergency planning
What would you do if you had to face a major hazard at home or at work? Knowing what needs to be done makes it easier to stay calm if an emergency should occur. Preparation is the key to survival.

Welcome

The Northern Territory Police, Fire and Emergency Services is a tri-service with an overarching vision to enhance community safety and protection through excellent policing, fire prevention and emergency response services to the community.

The NTPFES is committed to improving public safety through service delivery that is second to none.

Dedicated police, firefighters, emergency service personnel and support staff work together and with the community across the Territory to reduce crime and protect the community from fires, other emergencies and disasters.

Our mission focuses on a mandate to protect the community through the notion of working together and developing meaningful partnerships.
