First Home Owner Concession - HOMESTART NT Shared Equity Loan scheme

This calculator provides an indication of the stamp duty payable on the purchase of a home, or land on which to build a home, under HOMESTART NT Shared Equity Loan Scheme where the purchaser is eligible for the First Home Concession (FHOC).

From 4 May 2010, the FHOC is an amount up to $26 730 off the duty payable. This represents the duty on the first $540 000 of the dutiable value of the property. For details of the thresholds prior to this date click here.

Note: Purchasers eligible for FHOC are not entitled to the Principal Place of Residence Rebate or the Senior, Pensioner and Carer Concession.

How to use this calculator

- Choose whether the purchase property is vacant land or not
- Enter the purchase price or unencumbered value of the property, whichever is the greater without using commas (,) or full stops (.) (eg. 350000).
- Enter the date of contract (contract execution date) of the property in the form dd/mm/yyyy.
- Enter the interest in the property that you are purchasing with the Chief Executive Officer (Housing) (eg. 75%)
- Click on the "Calculate" button and the duty will automatically be calculated.
- To restart, click on the "Start Again" button.
- To print the result, click on the "Print" button.
