Each year Northern Territory Treasury undertakes recruitment for graduates to participate in Treasury's Finance Officer in Training (FOIT) Program located in Darwin. Don’t be fooled by the term ‘Finance’ – each year we employ graduates from a variety of different disciplines including law, business, accounting, economics, commerce and public administration.
The FOIT Program aims to provide a comprehensive package of training and development opportunities which serve to strengthen Treasury's and the Government's business and finance capabilities and resources, as well as individual skills.
The program is a year long learning experience where FOITs are provided with 'hands on' work experience in various business units within Treasury, and concentrated training on structure and processes, and financial and economic management in the Territory Government.
