Graduate Recruitment Process

This page provides you with general information about the graduate recruitment process. Dates provided are indicative and provide a general overview of the recruitment process and tentative timeframes.

Applications Open July 2011

FOIT advertisements appear in the NT News, various interstate newspapers and the NT Government Employment Opportunities website. Applicants have two weeks to submit their application. Applications can be submitted by email, fax, post or hand delivered. Please refer to How to Apply for more information.

Shortlisting July/August 2011

After the closing date, all applications are assessed by a panel of Treasury staff and a short-list is prepared. Applicants short-listed for interview can expect to be contacted early August to arrange an interview. Interstate applicants can expect to be interviewed via video conference.

Interviews August 2011

Short-listed applicants are interviewed by a three member panel. The process involves an interview and completing a pre-interview exercise. Referees are contacted and an official academic transcript is required.

Offers of Employment September 2011

Offers of employment will be sent to successful applicants in September. Successful applicants have two weeks to accept the offer.

Commence Program January 2012

An orientation program for graduates commences January 2012.
