Conference Dinner,
Wednesday 2nd July 2008

For a memorable night in the outback, dinner under the stars at Ooraminna Homestead is not to be missed. Dine around the old pub and township, with a taste of station hospitality and home-style cooking.

William and Mary Hayes were one of the pioneer families of the Alice Springs District. They arrived in 1884 with horses and bullock teams loaded with steel poles to replace the original wooden poles on the Overland Telegraph Line. Today, six generations later, Bill and Jan Hayes and their family own and operate Deep Well Station, the location of Ooraminna Homestead. The family invite you to experience the unique beauty of the outback with them.

Listen to the silence...
Smell the freshness of the air...
Discover the nature of the outback...

The cost for the conference dinner (transport, three course meal, beverages (wine, beer, soft drink) and entertainment) is $50 per head. Please register and pay for your (and guest’s) dinner attendance on the registration and accommodation form.

Overlander Steakhouse, Tuesday 1st July 2008
Cowboy clad dancers kicking their heels up on the bar, serving you and your group with drinks upon arrival, ‘branding buttocks’ and leading you through Australia’s other national anthems including ‘Home amongst the Gum Trees’. An outback experience not to be missed.

This event is optional, and is not included in the registration fee.
