The Fiscal Integrity and Transparency Act requires the public release of a Pre‑Election Fiscal Outlook Report within 10 days of the issue of a writ for an election. In accordance with this requirement, the Report was released on Friday 1 August and is now available for download.

Copies of the Report have been provided to the Treasurer and the Leader of the Opposition.
The Report takes into account non-policy changes and policy decisions made or commitments entered into since the 2008-09 Budget. It also provides updated fiscal projections for 2008-09 to 2011-12 and preliminary information on the 2007-08 outcome.

The Port of Darwin’s regulatory arrangements determine how users of the port can access port infrastructure and facilities. The framework also determines how the port is operated and how freight moves through it. As such, ensuring that the port operates effectively, safely and without unnecessary regulatory restrictions is important for trade and the performance of the Territory economy.
