Economic Development Summit
The Territory economy has continued to strengthen since the first Economic Development Summit in 2001. Now is the time for Government, business and the community to work in partnership and shape our framework for the future so that we can continue to drive economic development and create jobs for Territorians, no matter where you live.
I am pleased to advise that we are holding a further Summit in November 2005 to help shape the road map for economic development in the Territory over the next 10 years.
This Summit is not just about Darwin - over the coming weeks the Government will be hosting forums in all our main regional centres to hear from businesses, organisations and individuals about your views on the Territory's future. I encourage Territorians to be a part of these Regional Forums and I hope all Territorians will take the opportunity to be actively involved in putting together the map that will guide our future progress.

Economic Summit charts course for next decade
24 November 2005
The two-day 2015: Moving the Territory Ahead Economic Development Summit in Darwin on 22 November to 24 November 2005 will help create a blueprint for the Territory economy for the next 10 years. The key issues identified both at the Summit and the earlier regional forums will become part of the development of the 2015: Moving the Territory Ahead economic framework, which is expected to be completed by March next year.
