Celebrating Education Week

Education Week, from 1 – 7 September, is a time for the community to celebrate teaching and learning for all ages.

This year’s theme, ‘Partnerships in Learning’, highlights how parents, teachers and communities are working together to develop the literacy and numeracy skills of Australia’s young people.

In the Northern Territory, Education Week coincides with Engaging with Asia Week, Adult Learners’ Week and National Literacy and Numeracy Week.

The Northern Territory Government’s inaugural Schools Excellence in Literacy and Numeracy Awards will be presented to four schools that have excelled in improving literacy and numeracy outcomes.

During Education Week, consider nominating a Northern Territory Government school teacher, principal, teaching team, support staff or school that you think deserves a Teaching in the Territory Excellence Award.
