The Department of Natural Resources, Environment, The Arts and Sport has been created in recognition of the important link between the Territory's greatest assets - intact natural environment and authentic cultural traditions.
Sport & Recreation (Department of Local Government, Housing and Sport) has a dedicated events unit to run existing sporting events and develop opportunities for new events. Current events include the Arafura Games, the Alice Springs Masters Games, the Northern Territory Sports Awards and International Cricket.
