Sport and Recreation's participation and development branch provides opportunities to increase participation in sport and recreation through the administration of grants, management of sport and recreation facilities and supporting and assisting the delivery of quality sport and recreation programs across the Territory.

Strong female participation in regular sport and physical activity is important to sport and recreation in the Northern Territory.
