Northern Territory Major Events Company identifies and attracts major sporting and cultural events, which have the potential to benefit the Northern Territory by providing substantial economic and social benefits.
Sport & Recreation (Department of Local Government, Housing and Sport) has a dedicated events unit to run existing sporting events and develop opportunities for new events. Current events include the Arafura Games, the Alice Springs Masters Games, the Northern Territory Sports Awards and International Cricket.
