The Northern Territory Library is the major reference and research Library, responsible for collecting, preserving and providing access to the Territory's documentary heritage and connecting people to the world of information.

The Northern Territory Health Libraries network supports the research and information needs of all Departmental staff and affiliated health professionals throughout the Northern Territory. The network is made up of five branch libraries located in Darwin, Alice Springs, Nhulunbuy, Katherine and Tennant Creek. Our purpose is to support patient and public health care, through the delivery of evidence-based information and knowledge resources and services, specifically for clinical decision-support, public health programs, education and training, health technology assessment, research, policy, management and administration.
The gateway to library catalogue and online databases for the Northern Territory. Includes books, magazines and newspapers across the territory, in addition to extensive online information from general reference to Territory History and the Territory Images collection, and Health Information. The iPortal also includes tide times and depths, and weather information.
The Northern Territory Library has been enriching the lives of Territorians for over 30 years. Our services help Territorians connect with the past, contribute to the present, and learn for the future.
The Northern Territory Library offers reference and information services at Parliament House for members of Parliament, the NT community and visitors to the NT.
The Peter Spillett Library provides library services to support the research, display, education and exhibition activities of the Museums and Art Galleries of the Northern Territory. Members of industry, government departments and the public are welcome to use the library collection but are advised to phone prior to visiting. The Peter Spillett Library participates in Inter Library Resource Sharing with the Northern Territory Library, other libraries in Australia and overseas.
This online exhibition focuses on 19 February 1942, when mainland Australia came under attack for the first time. Japanese forces mounted two air raids on Darwin that day, killing about 235 people and wounding 300 - 400 people. The Northern Territory Library has tried to put a face to the names and to tell their story.
