The Department of Planning and Infrastructure manages and maintains an extensive arterial (main road) network of cycle paths across the Northern Territory.
To fossick in the Northern Territory you must hold a Fossicker's Permit issued under the Northern Territory Mining Act. There is no cost for a personal Fossicking Permit.
Australia's Northern Territory has now entered its annual rainy season, more simply called 'the Wet', when the seasonal monsoon brings frequent storms and, most years, potentially damaging cyclones. The heavy rains give relief from the heat and humidity, and bring to vivid life the flora - and the tropical frogs - that have been biding their time throughout the 'build-up' that follows the dry season.
The Commercial Passenger Vehicle Branch of the Road Transport Division, is responsible for the development and implementation of commercial passenger vehicle policy within legislative frameworks and with due regard to Government, industry and key stakeholder requirements.
