Aerial photography is captured primarily for the purposes of producing topographic mapping. Photographs (prints and digital images) are available for purchase through the Land Information Centres (http://www.dpi.nt.gov.au/whatwedo/landinformation/mapsnt/index.html) The Aerial Photography Archive consists of in excess of 350,000 photographs dating back to the 1940s. About 2,000 photographs are added to the archive each year.
Bushtel is a central point for information about the regions in the Northern Territory, its people and communities, its cultural and historical influences and the statistics and data that allow for informed decision-making.
Land Information still holds and uses on a regular basis, many historical maps and plans of the Territory. The Historic Maps Index allows users to search, preview and order these maps.
The Lands Group (Land Services) consists of the Building, Land Administration, Land Information, and Planning groups.
NT Atlas is an online application allowing users to view and query some of the more commonly used Northern Territory Government spatial datasets. The NT Atlas provides an interface to the NT Spatial Data Directory (NTSDD). The NT Spatial Data Directory (NTSDD) is available by clicking on the "Spatial Data Search " tab of the NT Atlas. The NTSDD is a catalogue of spatial datasets available from the various government departments of the Northern Territory. Users can search by keywords or data themes to access the metadata and contact details required to obtain the data.
NTLIS is a dynamic system of inter-related knowledge and expertise, spatial data and information, policies, procedures and standards, information technology and communications. NTLIS is focused on Corporate spatial data and information, which encompasses the spatial, geographic and attribute information required by more than one government agency or industry organisation to carry out core business functions.
STRIKE is a web mapping application which enables Internet users to view, query and download relevant geoscientific data.
TIS is a tool for the public to monitor mining and exploration in the Northern Territory. It conveys spatial information about the land in the NT through a Mapinfo Mapx web interface.
TravelNT.com is the Official Travel Site for the Northern territory - containing a wealth of travel information, including a number of maps and itineraries for travellers
