The Australian and Northern Territory Governments are working together to make fundamental and lasting improvement to the lives and opportunities of the residents of Alice Springs, particularly town camps.
The main function of the Office is to keep a Register, which contains title to all land under the Land Title Act, and to provide public access to the Register. Registered dealings are part of the title which is guaranteed by the Crown and open to public search. Some examples of dealings are mortgages, transfers, leases, discharge of mortgages and applications to replace lost certificates as to title. A fee for these services applies.
The Northern Territory Government is committed to providing safe, secure, affordable housing to those Territorians most in need. Territory Housing aims to provide a responsive service that is tailored to meet the particular housing needs of eligible Territorians, which includes the provision of public rental housing.
