Australia's Northern Territory has now entered its annual rainy season, more simply called 'the Wet', when the seasonal monsoon brings frequent storms and, most years, potentially damaging cyclones. Avoid getting stung. Do not enter the sea and most importantly do not let children enter the sea during stinger season. Beware of shallow water in creeks and near boat ramps, and wear protective clothing when fishing or boating. Even in surf conditions Box Jellyfish may be present.
