The Australian Government's Remote Renewable Power Generation Program (RRPGP) Extension program provides financial support to increase the use of renewable generation in remote parts of Australia that presently rely on fossil fuel for electricity supply. The Program has funding available to 30 June 2011. In the Northern Territory, The program is administered by the Energy Policy and Renewable Energy Team, Department of Regional Development, Primary Industry, Fisheries and Resources.
