The Australian honours system celebrates the outstanding achievements and contributions of extraordinary Australians in a diverse range of fields and areas of endeavour. The Honours are intended to recognise those people in the community whose service and contributions have had the effect of making a significant difference in the local community, the Territory or the nation.
Anyone can nominate any Australian citizen for an award within the Order of Australia. Community organisations, professional bodies or similar bodies can also nominate deserving individuals.
The nomination process is very simple and straightforward. For details on how to make a nomination, visit It's an Honour website.
