Herbarium

The Northern Territory Herbarium provides a plant identification service as well as information and advice on Northern Territory flora. These services are free to members of the public and organisations where the use is for non-commercial purposes.

For students enrolled in a biological science program or equivalent, at a university or other educational institution, arrangements can be made with the Curator to use the Reference Collection and identification resources to identify plant specimens.

Charges

Charges apply for the identification of specimens and provision of data where information is to be used for commercial purposes. A charge of $150 plus GST per hour is levied, with a minimum one hour charge applying to all requests.
