Alice Springs Urban Water Management Strategy
The need for an Alice Springs Urban Water Management Strategy to progress holistic urban water management for Alice Springs was identified in 2000 and an Urban Water Reference Group established to advise on directions. The Reference Group has members from the following organisations:
- Alice Springs Town Council,
- Arid Lands Environment Centre,
- Central Land Council,
- Chamber of Commerce Northern Territory,
- Department of Business Industry and Resource Development
- Department of Natural Resources Environment and the Arts,
- Desert Knowledge Australia,
- Lhere Artepe,
- Power and Water Corporation

Since the Reference Group was established a number of projects were commenced under the Alice Springs Urban Water Management Strategy banner. Progress has been made with the following:
