Katherine Water Advisory Committee
Terms of Reference
To participate in decision making about water resource management by identifying, discussing and making recommendations to the DRMAC on matters regarding water resource management in the Katherine region.
To advise DRMAC on policy matters and regional development issues that may impact on the sustainable management and development of groundwater use in the Katherine region.
To assist in the development and review of the Katherine/Tindall Water Allocation Plan and community consultation arrangements.
To assist with the determination of beneficial uses and water allocations under the Water Act. KWAC consists of twelve voting members an independent chairperson and is supported by three NT Government Officers.
