Bill Stuchbery

Upon his selection as Chair of the Darwin Harbour Advisory Committee, Environment Minister Alison Anderson welcomed Bill by describing him as a “long-term Darwin resident; an excellent results-driven facilitator; and is well-respected by all sides of politics. His appointment will help bring the various players on the committee together.”

Mr Stuchbery worked in senior roles with Territory Government departments during a career spanning from 1982 until his retirement in September this 2008. He held senior positions with the former Department of Lands, and the Department of Housing and Local Government.

Mr Stuchbery worked in diverse areas including surveying and mapping, Indigenous affairs and local government reform. He has held positions on a number of statutory bodies, and is also a keen recreational fisherman.
