Peter Dummett
Peter Dummett represents the shipping and transport sector of the Northern Territory business community on the DHAC.
After a 20 year career in the Royal Australian Navy, with seven of those years spent in Darwin, Peter chose to settle in the Territory primarily because of the lifestyle it afforded him and his family. He has been involved in a variety of business sectors in Darwin since leaving the Defence Force ranging from fishing media to club management before settling into the transport and logistics industry some eight years ago.
A keen recreational fisherman who fishes the harbour regularly and now employed as the Coastal Trades Manager with Perkins Shipping, Peter is acutely aware of the need for a balanced approach with decisions regarding the future use of our harbour and is keen to ensure that all stakeholders have the opportunity to be heard.
