Darwin Harbour Advisory Committee
The main role of the Darwin Harbour Advisory Committee is to oversee the implementation of the Darwin Harbour Regional Plan of Management.
Members of the Darwin Harbour Advisory Committee are appointed by the Minister for Natural Resources, Environment and Heritage and members comprises Northern Territory community representatives involved in the planning and management of the coastal and marine environment.
The Committee has also been established to advise the Minister on matters relating to the environment, planning and development of the region.
Terms of Reference for the Committee have been established and Minutes of meetings can be viewed by the public.

Darwin Harbour Advisory Committee Achievements
Many actions from the Plan of Management have been completed or are in progress. Some of these are:
- Establishment of an Ecosystem Research Group and an Ecosystem Monitoring Group
- Development of a Draft Stormwater Management Strategy
- An archaeological survey of Indigenous sites
- A review of the monitoring of natural systems
- Identification of knowledge gaps
- Identification of significant habitats in the Darwin Harbour Catchment.
