Advisory Committees
Water Advisory Committees are statutory bodies formed under the Water Act. Members are drawn from the community and are selected for their particular expertise.
The primary role of the committees are to develop and oversee a Water Management Plan for their particular water resource. There are five Water Advisory Committees:
- Rapid Creek Catchment Water Advisory Committee (RCCAC)
- Katherine Water Advisory Committee (KWAC)
- Darwin Harbour Advisory Committee (DHAC)
- Daly River Management Advisory Committee (DRMAC)
- Ti Tree Water Advisory Committee
- The NT Artesian Water Advisory Committee
- Alice Springs Water Advisory Committee
