Alice Springs Water Advisory Committee

The purpose of the Alice Springs Water Advisory Committee is to advise the Controller of Water Resources on the effectiveness of the Alice Springs Water Resource Strategy in maximising economic and social benefits of water use, within ecological constraints and other matters.

The committee is an advisory group established and appointed by the Minister for Natural Resources, Environment, the Arts and Sport. The Committee is asked to advise the Controller of Water Resources (or delegate) on matters that are referred by the Controller, within the Alice Springs Water Control District.

The Committee operates within Terms of Reference (pdf 32Kb) established by NRETAS.
