Aquatic Health
![]() |
Aquatic Health Unit of Environment Protection Agency Program monitors and provides advice about the health of the aquatic environment to ensure the sound management of our aquatic assets. The Unit monitors the health of a range of aquatic environments. These include rivers, streams, lagoons, billabongs, estuaries and harbour waters.
Monitoring currently focuses on the Darwin Harbour region. In 2006 a project was completed modelling water quality in this area. The Unit has also monitored the aquatic environment of other regions, including the Mary and Daly River catchments.
