Mr Bill Goedegebuure Bill has been the Chairman of the Conservation Land Corporation since 1994 and he has gained a good knowledge of matters relating to conservation. The Corporation has acted in an advisory capacity to the Director of Parks and Wildlife and has been involved in park management issues, overviewed matters in relation to weeds, fires and feral animal issues. |

Mr Djawa Yunupingu Djawa is a senior member of the Gumatj Clan in NE Arnhem Land. He is the Senior Cultural Advisor at Dhimurru Land Management Aboriginal Corporation and has been with Dhimurru for the last 12 years. His previous position was Senior Ranger Operations and he has a certificate in Natural and Cultural Resource Management. Djawa sits on the Steering Committee for the Carpentaria Ghost Net Program and the Marine Turtle Recovery Group and also played a leading role in the National Oceans Office Sea Country planning. |
Dr David Garnett (Interim Member) David is the acting CEO for the Cooperative Research Centre (CRC) for Tropical Savannas Management. The CRC is a joint venture of the major organisations involved in land management of the savannas of north Australia. It comprises government agencies from the NT, WA, QLD and the Commonwealth, three universities, CSIRO and representatives from Aboriginal groups and the pastoral industry. David has a joint honours degree in Botany/Zoology, a single honours degree in geology and a PhD in geochemistry. David has spent most of his life before moving to Darwin working as a geochemist, both overseas and in Australia. |

Ms Jayne Weepers Jayne is the Senior Policy Officer with the Central Land Council in Alice Springs. Her current role involves negotiations over new joint management arrangements for Territory parks and reserves and in the development of the NT Parks and Conservation Masterplan. She was previously a member of both the Council and the Executive of the Australian Conservation Foundation providing a valuable link between conservation and indigenous issues. |

Mr Matthew Ryan Matthew is the Djelk Ranger Coordinator for the Bawinanga Aboriginal Corporation. He is interested in and has experience in off reserve conservation, conservation for profit, Indigenous land management, tourism and wildlife utilisation and wildlife management. |

Ms Penelope Figgis Penny has a broad national expertise in environmental policy, especially biodiversity conservation, with particular interest in World Heritage and protected area policy. In 2005, she stepped down after many years as Vice President, Australian Conservation Foundation. She is currently Vice Chair for Australia and New Zealand of the World Commission on Protected areas and Board Member of the Sydney Olympics Park Authority and Chair of the Parklands Advisory Committee. She is a visiting fellow in the Graduate School of the Environment at Macquarie University. |
Ms Anne-Marie Delahunt Anne-Marie is Assistant Secretary, Parks Australia North. Her team is responsible for the joint management of Kakadu and Uluru Kata Tjuka National Parks, as well as the Indian Ocean Territory Parks at Christmas Island and Cocos. She has been working in the field of conservation for over 20 years - firstly in the non government organisation sector, and then with the Australian Government Department of the Environment and Heritage. Her work with that Department has included forest conservation, international wildlife issues, the national threatened species programs and environmental impact assessment. |

Mr Robert Fox Bob is a biologist with nearly 40 years of environmental management and research experience in the NT. He has a wide range of experience in natural resource management including; biodiversity conservation, wildlife utilisation, forestry, agriculture, environmental management in mining with particular emphasis on policy and legislative aspects. Bob has a degree in botany/zoology and a masters degree in natural resources. |

Mr Mick Jerram Mick is the Owner/Operator of tour business Gecko Canoeing for 6 years and Training Business ABLE (NT division) for 8 years. He conducts training in outdoor leadership, tourism guiding, risk management and occupational health and safety. He is currently representing the Savannah Guides organisation in the position of Chairman and the Katherine Region Tourism Association as an executive member. |

Mr Graham Phelps Graham first joined the Parks and Wildlife Commission of the Northern Territory in 1996 when he became the first Curator (Zoology) at the Alice Springs Desert Park. He later managed the Desert Park for five years and was responsible for the development of the Park’s Aboriginal Employment and Training Program. During this time, the Park achieved a reputation as a world leader in environmental and cultural display and interpretation. Graham was Acting Director BioParks in 2004 before moving to Groote Eylandt at the beginning of 2005. For the past two years, Graham has held an executive position with the Department of Local Government (DLGHS) as the Northern Territory Government’s Regional Coordinator on Groote Eylandt where he has had a cross-agency role working with communities, the Land Council and industry on a range of regional development programs, predominantly focused on Indigenous development. Graham’s career has centred on his commitment to long term sustainability where biological, social, cultural and economic factors are considered together. Dr Greg Leach Greg has over 30 years of experience in botanical survey and the taxonomy and ecology of tropical plants. He has worked in the Northern Territory for the past 20 years in the areas of plant systematics and wildlife conservation. Greg has a Ph.D. in plant taxonomy and has published widely, including co-authoring two books. Greg currently represents the Oceania region on the Plants Committee of the Convention on International Trade in wild Flora and Fauna (CITES). Ph: (08) 8999 4520 |
