RCCAC Aquatic Health Monitoring Program
The Rapid Creek Catchment Advisory Committee (RCCAC) has adopted an integrated monitoring program for Rapid Creek which incorporates various aspects of the aquatic ecosystem. These include aquatic biota (e.g. fish and invertebrates), water quality (e.g. metals and nutrients), riparian (stream-side) vegetation and stream flows. The monitoring currently focuses on the freshwater reaches of the creek.
The purpose of this website is to give an overview of the monitoring that is undertaken by various stakeholder groups and the results of their monitoring, giving an indication of the recent condition of Rapid Creek (see below).
